2009 State Conference
2010 State Conference

The first annual TRCA state conference was completed on March 20/21 2009 in Kerrville, Texas. We feel this conference was a tremendous success and were very pleased with the attendance, sponsors, vendors, speakers, workshops and all who were involved. We want to thank the many volunteers from the different master gardener organizatons who assisted with registration and workshops, etc.

On Wednesday and Thursday (3/18 &3/19) Billy Kniffen, Justin Mechell and Ramiro Ortiz held an ARCSA accreditation course with 50 people in attendance.

There were a total of 105 people who attended on Friday. That total includes vendors (13 booths) and speakers. We did not take a count on Saturday, as there was a lot of in and out going on, but we estimated as many if not more people in attendance on Saturday.

Friday at noon we help our annual business meeting and elected board members for 2009/2010. We had a quorum of 32 out of 89 members (36%). Attached below are the minutes for that meeting.

We really want to thank our sponsors. We had three platinum and one silver sponsor. We raised enough operating capital at this meeting to make conducting business going forward much more efficient, and we could not have accomplished this without the generosity of our sponsors. Help us show them our appreciation whenever and however you can.

The Texas Rainwater Catchment Association was proud to present to Rainwater Harveting Pioneer awards at our first state conference. The two winners were Hari Krishna and Billy Kniffen. We are all very appreciative and thankful for all they've done to promote Rainwater Harvesting in Texas and throughout the United States!
